Review – Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

19 09 2008

If you hate graphics, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the Nintendo DS is your game.  Not only are the visuals horrible and antiquated, even by handheld standards, but you’ll spend most of your time looking down at the second screen anyway, choosing what you want your pixely Jedi to do. Top Five Comic Book Conversations in Films

17 09 2008

Including mundane, everyday conversation topics in the dialogue of films helps us little people empathise and relate to the big people on the screen.  Every once in a while, a film will give a shout-out to us geeks and include a conversation about comic books.  Here’s five of the best in recent memory: Read the rest of this entry »

Geektionary – “Cinemoment”

16 09 2008

Cinemoment (noun) – The sense that, for an instant, one is living in a film.

In this age of ever-changing fads, Shia could be the first celebrity to spearhead fashionable limb replacements!

We’ve decided to give Shia a helping hand (sorry) and list the 5 coolest things to replace his pummeled paw! Read the rest of this entry »

Secret Warner Brothers Memo

7 09 2008

Now that The Dark Knight has surpassed $500 million at the domestic box office, it was only a matter of time before Warner Brothers went mad with power.  Modern Geekery got a hold of this SECRET INTERNAL WB MEMO that should make for some interesting films in the near future. Read it now before we’re forced to take it down!

I’m really interested to see how these new ”guidelines” will affect one of the WB’s next films, “Nights in Rodanthe.”  What’s Diane Lane’s Bed & Breakfast viral website going to look like?! And what Rodanthe-related clues will it unlock?!?!
